Durbin smies as he looks up at PhD student Mark Schroeder in Dr. Wilber's lab, a native of the Chicago area, Durbin was curious about Schroeder’s path to the SIU School of Medicine after learning about Dr. Wilbers research regarding his research to understand the role of tumor-mediated production of soluble factors in suppressing the cytotoxic activity of natural killer (NK) cells.
